The Hybrid Fitness & Physio Story
I started Hybrid Fitness & Physio in order to better help people who have stopped doing things they love due to injuries, pain or other physical issues.
I got tired of seeing a gap between rehabilitation and fitness, and people continuing to get hurt because they weren’t sure exactly what to do in their workouts or activities.
Tired of all the confusing, conflicting information out there that made people scared to exercise, lift weights, play sports or be active like they wanted to., and lied to by healthcare providers who told them things weren't "safe."
Tired of cookie-cutter programs by lazy coaches that didn’t take the time to understand the specific needs, goals and challenges of their clients.
Most of all, tired of seeing people who "finished" rehab of an injury or surgery but were left feeling weak, vulnerable and limited, because their insurance company decided they were "good enough" or someone didn't know how to help take them to the next level.
I use a holistic, big-picture approach how to train pain-free, prevent injuries and get stronger, faster and leaner. It’s not just about your shoulder, knee or ankle, it’s about your health, your sleep, your stress and your whole life!
To put it simply, my passion is helping people:
understand their bodies and how to fuel them
build a bulletproof mindset
get the most out of their true potential.
I have been in the fitness industry for 15 years, working as a personal trainer, group exercise teacher and strength coach. In 2015 I completed my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at St. Catherine University, and I am also a certified nutrition coach.
I have been involved in strength training, functional fitness and running for over 20 years, and have competed in Crossfit, martial arts, distance running and obstacle course racing. I’ve dealt with multiple injuries myself, so I understand how hard it is to not be able to do the things I loved!
Hybrid Fitness & Physio is for people who are motivated to transform not only their bodies but their health and wellness, and helping them reach their goals – whether they are related to sports performance, injury prevention or simply improving the quality of their lives. People who take their health seriously, and see the value in living a long, resilient, and active life. People who want more.
